Yemen's armed forces (Ansarallah/Houthis) said in a statement on Sunday, October 4, 2026 (12 Mehr 1405) that they carried out two separate ballistic missile and drone operations against Saudi Arabia's Aramco oil company: the first targeting Aramco facilities in Riyadh and the second targeting the company's facilities in the Khurais region. The group claimed both operations struck their targets accurately and caused large fires at the sites. The statement said the attacks were in response to 50 Saudi air and missile strikes over the previous 12 hours against Sanaa and the provinces of Al Jawf, Taiz, Amran, Hajjah and Saada, and that total Saudi strikes on Yemen since the latest round of escalation began have reached 1,460. Yemen's forces said they would continue targeting Saudi military bases and oil facilities until the blockade on Yemen ends. The attack follows a Saturday, October 3 strike on Aramco facilities in Riyadh that disrupted flights at Riyadh and Dammam airports. Saudi Arabia and Aramco have not independently confirmed the extent of damage from this latest round of attacks.
