Iran's August food voucher credit lands on Thursday for national IDs ending in zero to two
5 August 2026 | 3 months ago
Heads of household whose national ID number ends in zero, one or two will receive this month's electronic food voucher credit from Thursday, August 6, 2026. The credit for this tranche is set at 10 million rials (1 million tomans) and is intended to cover one month of household staples.
Iran charges the voucher in stages based on the last digit of the household head's national ID, which spreads demand across the contracted retail network. The credit can be spent at participating stores on a defined basket of essential goods.
The government spokesperson had said earlier that an increase in the voucher amount has not been finalised because no durable funding source has been identified. Separately, the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare has said that people who received a notification text message have until the end of Shahrivar 1405 (September 22, 2026) to confirm their residence in the country at designated government service offices.
