2 September 2026 · last month
Iran Khodro said in a notice carried by Tasnim on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 (11 Shahrivar 1405), that consumer prices for its vehicles will rise starting Thursday, September 3 (12 Shahrivar), due to a higher scrappage-certificate count and value under the amended bylaw for Article 10 of the Auto Industry Organization Law, plus higher vehicle-registration costs. Per the notice, buyers must pay the price difference before an invoice can be issued or a license plate assigned. Vehicles that had been in backlog as of September 2 (11 Shahrivar) will be calculated with a scrappage-certificate value of 35 million tomans.
