Iran's car market falls on Tuesday as Peugeot 207 automatic sheds 40 million tomans

4 August 2026 · 2 months ago

A market survey by Eghtesad Online on Tuesday, 4 August 2026 (13 Mordad 1405), found that most domestically produced cars traded lower in Iran, although a small number of models rose slightly against the broader trend. The outlet reported that trading remains subdued and that the limited price declines have not revived buying and selling activity.

Among Iran Khodro products, the Peugeot 207 automatic fell 40 million tomans to 2.48 billion tomans, while the Peugeot 207 manual panorama with steel rims dropped 35 million tomans. The Dena Plus automatic declined 25 million tomans to 2.715 billion tomans and the Samand Soren Plus XU7P slipped 11 million tomans to 1.57 billion tomans. Moving the other way, the Tara automatic V4 gained 2 million tomans to 2.577 billion tomans.

Among Saipa products, the Atlas S lost 30 million tomans to 1.31 billion tomans and the Saina S fell 9 million tomans to 1.254 billion tomans, while the Shahin automatic Plus rose 22 million tomans to 2.66 billion tomans. Analysts quoted in the report attributed the narrow price swings to continued uncertainty in the economic and political outlook.
