The National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company issued directives on Sunday 26 July 2026 setting out fuel supply duties for the Arbaeen transport fleet and pilgrim camps, with an emphasis on managing consumption.
According to Mehr News Agency, the directive defines the responsibilities of the company's operational units in supplying fuel along the routes used for Arbaeen travel.
The report did not state the volume of fuel allocated, the list of stations involved, or the period over which the duties apply. Arbaeen travel temporarily raises fuel demand on routes in the west of the country each year.
