Tehran's gold and coin market fell in trading on Sunday 2 August 2026 (11 Mordad 1405), with the full gold coin shedding more than 3.5 million tomans. The Gold and Jewellery Union put the world gold ounce at $4,044 for the day.

On the union's quoted rates, one gram of 18 carat gold was priced at 18,278,000 tomans and one gram of 24 carat gold at 24,369,000 tomans. In the coin market, the new design full coin traded at 183,500,000 tomans, the old design at 180,000,000, the half coin at 94,300,000, the quarter coin at 52,300,000 and the gram coin at 27,000,000 tomans.

Sahmino's own prices page recorded the Emami coin at 183,990,000 tomans, down 2.18 percent, and the free market dollar at 191,200 tomans, down 1.31 percent, as of 17:39 the same day. The main driver cited for the fall in coins was the decline in the free market exchange rate, which followed a reduced perceived risk of escalating geopolitical tension in West Asia.
