Iran's parliamentary industries committee calls for 700 trillion tomans of bank facilities for manufacturers' working capital
26 July 2026 | 3 months ago
A member of the Iranian parliament's Industries and Mines Committee said on Sunday 26 July 2026 that securing working capital for manufacturing units was essential, and called for follow-up on the allocation of 700 hemat, equal to 700 thousand billion tomans, in bank facilities.
According to Tejarat News, he said the manufacturing sector's most pressing need in current conditions is financing for raw-material purchases, and that the banking system is expected to work with the relevant agencies to make the allocation possible.
The remarks are a request from parliament rather than an approved measure or a completed allocation, and no mechanism or timetable was announced.
