Power cut or restricted for 100 high-consumption national and provincial bodies in Tehran
26 July 2026 | 3 months ago
Electricity was restricted or cut on Sunday 26 July 2026 for 100 national and provincial bodies in Tehran that had not reduced their power consumption. According to Tejarat News, the step falls under the requirement on government offices to cut usage during the summer demand peak.
Summer power restrictions matter for Iran's markets, because electricity rationing has previously curbed output at steel, cement and other industrial plants.
The report did not name the bodies affected by the cuts.
