Iran's Privatization Organization published the terms for the sale of four state-held assets on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 (13 Mordad 1405). The largest is Foulad Makran of the Chabahar Free Zone: more than 2.406 billion ordinary shares plus about 127 million preferred shares, equal to 8.43% of the company, offered at a base value of 18,500 billion rials through auction.
The second offering covers about 14.25 million shares of Foulad Meybod, equal to 46.1172% of that company, at a base value of 13,746.348 billion rials. In sport, 334,525,650 shares of the Esteghlal Iran cultural and athletic club, equal to 3.1% of its equity, will be offered through Iran Farabourse at a base value of about 339.29 billion rials. The fourth asset is a corporate fuel station in Karaj with a 784.63 square metre plot and a base value of about 2,974.68 billion rials.
The auctions for Foulad Makran, Foulad Meybod and the Karaj station are set for 10 Shahrivar 1405 (September 1, 2026), with payment terms on the two steel sales of 50% in cash and the balance in four half-yearly instalments. Under the notice, the sales follow the rules on selecting strategic buyers and verifying managerial competence, meaning the highest bid alone is not enough: applicants must also demonstrate managerial, financial and technical capacity.
