Iran's securities regulator clears the way for private financing investment funds
3 August 2026 · 2 months ago
The head of the legal advisory and market regulation centre at Iran's Securities and Exchange Organisation has announced that, under a resolution of the organisation's board, investment funds may now be established in private financing instruments. The announcement was published on Monday 3 August 2026 (12 Mordad 1405).
Private financing instruments allow companies to raise funds outside a public offering process, through a limited number of qualified investors. Under the resolution, investment funds may operate as an intermediary vehicle in that market.
The operational details of the resolution, including the conditions for establishing such funds and the limits on their investments, are set out in the organisation's directives.
