Iran's Total Stock Market Value Tops 21,000 Trillion Tomans for the First Time as All 40 Industries Rise

The combined value of Iran's stock markets, including the Tehran Stock Exchange, Farabourse and the base market, crossed 21,000 trillion tomans for the first time in the exchange's history at the close of trading on Wednesday, 4 Shahrivar 1405 (August 26, 2026), reaching 21,498 trillion tomans. According to Boursenews, the Tehran Stock Exchange alone accounted for 18,255 trillion tomans, while Farabourse together with the base market totaled 3,243 trillion tomans.
In a separate report, Boursenews said all 40 active industry indices on the stock market rose that week, with only the publishing and printing industry posting a weekly decline; the average industry index gain for the first week of Shahrivar reached 7.8 percent. The coal industry led with a 15.7 percent weekly gain, followed by the other mining industry at 15.4 percent, and 24 industry indices closed Wednesday's session at all time highs.
