Iran's Virtual Businesses Union Says Online Oversight System for Gold Platforms Will Launch After Recent Controversy
4 October 2026 · 3 days ago
Iran's National Union of Virtual Businesses said in a statement published Saturday, Mehr 11, 1405 (October 3, 2026), that it was responding to recent controversy surrounding one online gold sales platform, stressing that one company's conduct should not be generalized to all licensed businesses in the sector. The union said it is pursuing the matter with the platform in cooperation with regulatory bodies until customers' claims are resolved. It also said its own online, real time oversight system, ready since Ordibehesht 1404 (April to May 2025) but blocked from operating by some executive bodies' objections, will go live in the coming days, with active gold and precious metals platforms gradually connected to it for continuous, real time monitoring.
