Isoiko Completes Major Overhaul of Tugboat 'Oqianus 10' Using Domestic Capability
25 August 2026 | 2 months ago
Iran's shipbuilding and offshore industries complex, Isoiko, said on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 (3 Shahrivar 1405), that it had successfully relaunched the tugboat "Oqianus 10" following a major overhaul. According to Donya e Eqtesad, the project was carried out using the complex's own technical and engineering capability.
Isoiko is one of Iran's shipbuilding and offshore industry complexes, and has in recent years focused on repair and refurbishment projects for commercial and industrial vessels. Domestic capacity to overhaul vessels such as tugboats used by the country's shipping fleet and ports matters particularly amid limited access to foreign services and parts.
