MARA Holdings Sold Over 91 Percent of Its Mined Bitcoin in Q2 to Fund AI Buildout at the Long Ridge Power Plant

US listed MARA Holdings said it sold more than 91 percent of the bitcoin it mined in the second quarter of 2026. According to a report by Arzdigital on Friday, August 7, 2026 (16 Mordad 1405), based on the company's disclosed filings, MARA also pledged 18,750 bitcoin as collateral for new loans to fund its purchase of the Long Ridge power plant and its conversion into an AI computing hub.
Per the filings, MARA Holdings raised about $750 million in liquidity, largely through Coinbase and Two Prime. The company now has roughly 52 percent of its total bitcoin reserves pledged as collateral, after reporting a net loss of $611.3 million in its second quarter results. Analysts note MARA has not disclosed precise margin call thresholds or collateral maintenance ratios for the loans.
