US State of Wyoming Discloses Indirect Investment in Hyperliquid's HYPE Token

The US state of Wyoming disclosed an indirect investment in the HYPE token through its holding in Hyperliquid Strategies in its latest quarterly 13F filing. Arzdigital reported, citing Blockworks analyst Shaunda Devens, that the disclosure shows Wyoming gained exposure to the Hyperliquid ecosystem through public investment vehicles rather than a direct token purchase.
Wyoming previously became the first US state with an official state backed stablecoin after launching its "Frontier" (FRNT) token, backed by dollar reserves and bonds managed by Franklin Templeton, with proceeds directed to Wyoming's public school funding. Governor Mark Gordon separately signed an executive order directing state agencies to facilitate the development of AI data centers with priority given to energy and water use.
