Market Regulation Headquarters adds frozen cut chicken to electronic subsidy list

Iran's Market Regulation Headquarters, chaired by First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, added packaged or portioned frozen chicken to the list of goods covered by the electronic subsidy card (kalabarg) program, Khabaronline reported citing ISNA on Monday, August 17, 2026. The meeting also stressed the need to pay outstanding dues owed to stores participating in the program.
At the same meeting, the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad and the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade presented reports on prices of selected goods, and the headquarters approved in principle a plan to allow imports of essential goods through free trade zones; details are to be reviewed and finalized by a specialized working group.
