According to Kalakhabar, the Iran Mercantile Exchange's official news outlet, the exchange's derivatives and new financial instruments market management said on Monday, 26 Mordad 1405 (August 17, 2026), that Iran's Securities and Exchange Organization approved an amendment to the prospectus of the Padash Commodity Fund 1 (traded as Silva) to raise its investment unit cap. As a result, Silva will offer 200 million additional investment units for subscription through the IME's fund market over two business days starting Monday, 26 Mordad.
The cap increase was announced after the fund's first three-day subscription window, which opened Sunday, 25 Mordad (August 16) as Iran's 12th commodity exchange silver fund, drew strong demand and raised 200 billion tomans within the opening minutes of Monday morning. The demand coincided with global silver prices rising above $65.60 an ounce.
