National Land and Housing Organization: 7 Trillion Tomans of Low-Income Applicants' Down Payments Funded Through Asset Monetization

Ali Nabian, head of the National Land and Housing Organization and acting head of the Urban Regeneration Company, told a news conference on Monday, 6 Mehr 1405 (September 28, 2026), that since Farvardin (late March) the organization has supplied 7,000 billion tomans (7 trillion tomans) of funding for the down payments of housing applicants in income deciles one to four, drawing on the government's asset-monetization program.

He said that since the Housing Production Leap Law took effect, 146,278 hectares of natural-resource land have been handed to the organization, about 59,000 hectares of it in the past two years; 93,129 hectares have been identified and 56,921 hectares of that annexed to city limits. Nabian also said that of a 50,000-unit quota for low-income housing meant to be supplied over three years, land for about 44,784 units was identified and allocated within one year.
