Official Dollar Transfer Rate at Iran's Exchange Center Nears 175,000 Tomans

Iran's Exchange Center (Markaz-e Mobadele-ye Arz va Tala), the official platform used mainly to settle export and import transfers, raised its dollar sale rate by 522 tomans on Thursday, October 1, 2026 (9 Mehr 1405) to 174,704 tomans, nearing the 175,000 toman threshold, Mehr News Agency reported. The outlet said rates for other currencies rose at the center as well today. This official rate differs from the free market dollar rate, which has recently traded around 255,000 tomans.
