Oil Ministry says Iran's oil sales passed $11 billion in the first four months of this year

Iran's Ministry of Petroleum said on Sunday 26 July 2026 that the country's oil sales exceeded $11 billion in the first four months of the current Iranian year, despite continuing sanctions, wartime conditions and market constraints, and that the trend has been improving. The ministry released the figure in response to claims that foreign-currency revenue from oil sales had fallen.
The first four months of the Iranian year 1405 run from late March to late July 2026, a stretch in which traffic through the Strait of Hormuz was disrupted for much of the period and global oil prices swung sharply. The ministry did not publish a breakdown of the figure, including the split between crude and gas condensate or the destination of cargoes.
