Plan and Budget Organisation Named Lead Custodian of the Kalabarg Credit Increase

Yaghoub Andayesh, deputy minister for welfare and economic affairs at the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, said on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 that the government has named the Plan and Budget Organisation as the lead custodian for carrying out the increase in Kalabarg credit. He said all bodies and agencies must cooperate with the organisation so the scheme is implemented properly.

Andayesh said the welfare ministry is only one of several agencies involved and that duties are divided between institutions; the "My Government" platform and its infrastructure are run directly by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. He said the welfare ministry is ready to share its ten years of experience with subsidy targeting and Kalabarg with the Plan and Budget Organisation.

The self-declaration deadline for the credit increase had earlier been extended to the end of Friday, October 16.
