On Monday, 12 October 2026 (20 Mehr 1405), the Plan and Budget Organization issued a notice calling reports that the self-declaration and payment of the kalabarg (household e-voucher) credit increase had been pushed to next month false, saying applicant registration is under way in Mehr. A day earlier the organization had announced the start of self-declaration by the heads of 18 million households, covering 40 million people, through the national smart government services window; some time after registration opened, the system suffered a disruption.
According to Mehr, the deputy for smart government infrastructure at the IT Organization attributed the fault to network problems that technical teams are fixing. The original self-declaration deadline was 24:00 on Tuesday, 21 Mehr, and the head of the Targeted Subsidies Organization said the deadline can be extended if the number of people unable to register passes a threshold, and that no one will be dropped from the list.
Heads of eligible households must go to the national smart government services window after receiving an SMS from the welfare ministry's sender number. The credit increase in question is reported at 500,000 tomans. A member of parliament's social committee has also said lawmakers want a three-month window for self-declaration.
