Quota Dollar Sold via National ID Today at 257,000 Tomans

According to Donya-e-Eqtesad, the quota dollar sold to applicants over 18 through selected bank branches with a national ID card traded at 257,000 tomans today, Sunday, October 4, 2026 (12 Mehr 1405). The program runs alongside the free market dollar rate, which traded around 269,000 to 270,000 tomans in Tehran today, and is one of the central bank's tools for meeting household demand for foreign currency. The quota dollar rate has risen in recent days in step with the free market rate.
