Ali Barabari, head of Iran's Central Rural Cooperative Organization, said on Monday 20 Mehr 1405 that the rural cooperative network had played a significant role in wheat purchases, procured oilseeds including rapeseed and camelina, and fully taken up its first fertilizer allocation. Mehr News Agency published the remarks on Monday, in a report on a meeting to plan for the new agricultural year.
Barabari said the organization was coordinating with petrochemical companies to secure the next fertilizer allocation. He also said it was pursuing the removal of export obstacles for products such as raisins, dates, apples and kiwifruit, and expanding rural markets. The report describes achievements claimed by the organization and does not independently measure production or sales in the market.
