Coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said on Thursday, October 29, 2026 (7 Aban 1405) that Saudi-led coalition air defences intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles the Houthis fired toward the capital. Saudi Civil Defence said shrapnel from the interception wounded one Saudi citizen in Riyadh and damaged a house and a vehicle.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree claimed six operations: the Ras Tanura and Rabigh refineries with ballistic missiles, an Aramco facility in Abqaiq with a missile, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with multiple missiles, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam with a drone, and a military headquarters in Najran. Al Jazeera writes that the claims have not been independently corroborated and that Saudi Arabia has not confirmed strikes on those sites. The attacks came days after Saudi, Turkish and Pakistani officials met Iran in Tehran on Monday, October 26 (4 Aban), where participants agreed to continue talks. Ras Tanura and Rabigh are significant Saudi oil export sites, which is why the claims matter to the oil market.
