On Wednesday, September 30, 2026 (8 Mehr 1405), a batch of US economic data, including the PCE inflation gauge, private payrolls, second quarter GDP revisions and household income and spending, drew market attention to the path of Fed interest rates. According to EcoIran, monthly PCE inflation came in softer than expected, and combined with a rise in consumer spending, this eased some concern over inflationary pressure; in response, the US dollar weakened while gold and stocks rose. According to TGJU, gold hit an intraday high of 4,217.88 dollars an ounce today, after touching a daily low of 4,166.48 dollars. Alanchand data showed gold had pulled back to around 4,160 dollars an ounce by 7:30 p.m. Tehran time, up 0.36 percent on the day, while Sahmino's own price data put it at 4,154.87 dollars at the same hour, down 0.46 percent from the previous close.
