Supreme Labor Council to Revise 1405 Worker Wages Next Week
28 September 2026 · 9 days ago
Asad Salehi, a workers' representative on Iran's Supreme Labor Council, told Mehr News Agency that the council will meet next week and revise workers' wages under clause 10 of the 1405 wage resolution, in line with the current inflation rate. He said "changes will be made to the wage level" at that session.
Under the council's 341st session resolution, wages were to be reviewed in the first half of the year against inflation in basic goods and food, which is why the workers' "bon" allowance was left unchanged at 2.2 million tomans in the 1405 wage. Citing Article 41 of the Labor Law, Salehi said wages must track inflation and be enough to cover the average living costs of a family. Khabar Online, Donya-e-Eqtesad and EcoIran also carried the report on Monday, 6 Mehr 1405 (September 28, 2026).
