Supreme Labor Council's 345th Session Ends Without a Wage-Revision Decision for Shahrivar

The 345th session of Iran's Supreme Labor Council ended on Saturday, September 19, 2026 (28 Shahrivar 1405), without a decision on revising or raising workers' wages for the second half of the year. According to ISNA, as reported by Donya-e-Eqtesad, although the council's September 1 session had called for the wage situation to be reviewed and a wage committee formed during Shahrivar, Saturday's meeting also ended without a resolution, and the matter was deferred to another session that must be held before the end of Mehr, October 22. Labor representatives have said in recent weeks that the household livelihood-basket cost, calculated at about 42 million tomans in Dey 1404, January 2026, is now estimated at more than double that figure.
