Tehran Stock Exchange Main Index Slips Below the 7.4 Million Mark

Tehran Stock Exchange's main index slipped below the 7.4 million mark in mid session trading on Monday, September 14, 2026, a day after setting a record of 7,431,000 points, falling to around 7,393,000, a decline of nearly half a percent from Sunday's closing level. The equal weight index also broke below the 2 million mark. Still, price behavior showed about 450 symbols trading above their closing reference price, and the top five buy order rows in the equity market were worth about 16,300 billion toman versus about 3,300 billion toman in sell orders, a sign buyers were trying to accumulate shares at current levels. Meanwhile, more than 1,800 billion toman was withdrawn from the stock market by retail investors, and about 1,200 billion toman left fixed income funds.
