Tehran's Car Market Reverses Course After Three Days of Price Gains
10 July 2026 | 3 months ago
Car prices in Tehran, which had spiked sharply on July 5, 2026 (including a one-day 195-million-toman jump for the Tara Automatic V4 to 2.72 billion tomans), reversed into a decline starting July 8. According to Eghtesad Online (July 8, 2026), the MVM X55 Pro fell 30 million tomans to 3.75 billion, and the Arrizo 5 fell 30 million tomans to 3.45 billion; the manual Tara V1 dropped 54 million tomans to 2.075 billion. Fararu and Ecoiran attributed the reversal to a simultaneous pullback in dollar and gold prices. By July 9, the market's cheapest models, including the Quick GXL and Saina S, held steady at 1.21 billion tomans.
