30 July 2026 | 3 months ago
US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met in the Oval Office at the White House on Wednesday, 29 July 2026. The meeting lasted about 90 minutes and was the two men's first in person since the war began at the end of February 2026; it was also Netanyahu's seventh visit to the White House.
The White House described the meeting as productive and positive, and Netanyahu called it one of the best meetings the two sides have had. According to published reports, the war with Iran was the main topic, while the framework for a peace agreement in Lebanon and the expansion of the Abraham Accords were also raised.
No final agreement was announced at the end of the meeting, and the two sides said their shared goal would be achieved either through diplomatic means or by other means. The course of diplomacy and war in West Asia directly affects the exchange rate and the gold price in Iran's market.
