A research department report from Iran's Securities and Exchange Organisation, published by the Iran Capital Market News Agency (SENA), shows that turnover in exchange traded funds reached 51.7 trillion toman in trading on Saturday 1 August 2026 (10 Mordad 1405).
Of that total, about 36.7 trillion toman was in fixed income funds, more than 9 trillion toman in commodity funds and 5.9 trillion toman in equity and mixed funds. Retail money flowing into the ETF market on the day came to 900 billion toman.
According to the same report, cumulative inflows into fixed income and commodity funds have set a fresh record since the start of the 1405 Iranian year. The heavy weight of fixed income funds in turnover shows that a large share of capital market liquidity remains parked in low risk instruments, while commodity funds are the main route for retail investors to reach gold and silver through the exchange.
