While Exchange Center Dollar Rises 497 Tomans, Free Market Dollar Trades at 228,270 Tomans Today

According to Mehr News, on the first trading day of the week (Saturday, September 19, 2026), the US dollar's selling rate on the board of Iran's Currency and Gold Exchange Center rose 497 tomans from the last session of the previous week to 166,376 tomans, with the buying rate up the same amount to 164,879 tomans. The euro jumped 668 tomans to 190,726 tomans and the UAE dirham rose 134 tomans to 45,303 tomans. Meanwhile, according to Donya-e-Eqtesad, the free market dollar eased from the previous day to 228,270 tomans today, with the free market euro at 262,400 tomans, moving in the opposite direction from the official exchange center rates. Sahmino's own price feed recorded the free market dollar down 4,250 rials and the exchange center dollar transfer rate up 4,977 rials as of 11:29 today, consistent with both reports.
