Iran's free market dollar rate turned higher on Monday, 5 Mordad 1405 (27 July 2026), trading at about 188,000 tomans by midday, roughly 2,500 tomans above the last cash trades of Sunday. The currency had closed the previous day in the 185,000 toman range. Sahmino's own price data showed a rate of 188,680 tomans as of 13:29 the same day, a gain of 1.17 percent on the day.
The euro traded at 214,000 tomans the same day, up 2,000 tomans from the previous session. The agreed rate (remittance) dollar rose 218 tomans, quoted at 151,787 tomans on the sell side and 150,420 tomans on the buy side.
The currency market had been drifting lower in recent days amid the halt in regional military hostilities and news around talks between Iran and the United States. Currency market analysts attribute Monday's rise mainly to prices becoming attractive to buyers and a return of demand, and say volatility will persist until the outlook for the talks becomes clearer.
