18-Karat Gold and the Emami Coin Slip on the First Day of the Week

Tehran's gold and coin market moved lower on Saturday, September 26, 2026 (4 Mehr 1405). According to Sahmino's recorded prices as of 16:00 Tehran time, a gram of 18-karat gold fell 1.11 percent to 23,860,000 tomans and the Emami coin dropped 0.85 percent to about 238 million tomans. The Bahar Azadi coin lost 1.31 percent to 233 million tomans.

Mehr News Agency's midday report the same day put 18-karat gold at 23,893,000 tomans a gram, the new-design coin at 238,600,000 tomans and the Tehran mesghal quote at 103,500,000 tomans. The free-market dollar in Sahmino's data eased 0.48 percent to 233,500 tomans, while spot gold ended Friday, September 25 at about $4,285 an ounce.
