18-Karat Gold Passes 23 Million Tomans in Tehran Market

According to Ecoiran, the price of 18 karat gold in Tehran's market reached around 23,535,000 tomans a gram on Thursday, September 3, 2026 (12 Shahrivar 1405). Sahmino's own live data showed 18 karat gold at 23,432,000 tomans as of 15:59 Tehran time, up about 2.6 percent from the start of today's trading, while the mesghal (about 4.6 grams) topped 1.014 billion tomans.

The domestic rally tracked a rise in global spot gold, which was up 1.39 percent to 4,448.11 dollars an ounce as of 15:58 Tehran time, above this morning's level of 4,428 dollars. Falling US Treasury yields and a softer dollar, alongside an ADP report showing slower US private payroll growth in August, were cited as the main drivers, with markets now watching Friday's US nonfarm payrolls report.
