Saeed Shojaei, Deputy for Planning, Innovation and Smartification at the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, said in a television interview on Tuesday, 6 Mordad 1405 (28 July 2026), that a meeting attended by Ministry of Energy officials and the president's representative decided to add 300 to 400 megawatts to the electricity quota of small industries.
According to him, based on this decision, the energy restrictions in the 48 priority industrial towns, which had faced more than two days of restrictions, will be reduced to one day a week. At the same time, it has been decided, in cooperation with the Supreme Labour Council, that Friday will also be treated as a working day, and that the employer's excess payment in this case will be amended.
On the allocation of foreign currency to large industries, Shojaei said the process of increasing the allocation of resources is under way but no tangible result has yet been achieved. He also announced that the first layer of the package for reconstructing war-damaged units was issued last week, one clause of which is a special reconstruction credit line of 100 trillion tomans. According to him, this credit line must first be approved by the Central Bank's Supreme Board and is still far from the implementation stage.
