Ezzatollah Zarei, spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade, said in a report published Wednesday, October 14, 2026, that the Supreme Energy Council approved a plan allocating 16,550 megawatts of power to industry and notified the industries of their shares. The announced allocation does not mean uninterrupted deliveries or the end of restrictions; he said he hoped the plan would run under calmer conditions in the second half of the Iranian year.

Zarei said full supply before winter and after the summer peak could help factories raise output. For metals producers, petrochemical plants and other manufacturers, actual deliveries, rather than the approved allocation alone, remain the consequential measure.
