4 Percent of Ako Battery Iranian Lists on Tehran Stock Exchange, Company Holds 50 Percent of Industrial Battery Market

Ako Battery Iranian became the 11th new company to list on the Tehran Stock Exchange in the Iranian year 1405 on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 (28 Mordad 1405), offering 4 percent of its shares on the exchange's second market. According to Bourse News, company chief executive Mehdi Ashja told reporters that Ako Battery now holds 50 percent of Iran's industrial battery market and 15 to 20 percent of the automotive battery market, and exports to six countries including Russia.
Ashja said the company, a holding group also active in the apparel and alcohol industries, sources most of its raw materials domestically (96 to 97 percent) and has already stockpiled materials for the next two years. Ako Battery began operating in 1396 (2017 to 2018) and is currently developing lithium and solar battery lines.
