ACCO Becomes Tehran Bourse's Third IPO of the Year as Over 1.4 Million Trading Codes Subscribe

Ako Battery Iranians joined the Tehran Stock Exchange on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 (28 Mordad 1405), offering 4 percent of its shares on the bourse's second market under the ticker "ACCO," the exchange's third IPO of the year. According to Boursenews, published Thursday, August 20 (29 Mordad), the offering drew subscriptions from more than 1,447,000 investor trading codes.\n\nMehdi Ashja, the company's CEO, told Boursenews on the day of the offering that the firm holds 50 percent of Iran's industrial battery market and 15 to 20 percent of the automotive battery market. He said Ako Battery is a holding company that, besides batteries, is also active in the textile and alcohol industries, and currently exports to six countries including Russia. Ashja added that only 3 to 4 percent of the company's raw materials are imported, that it has already purchased raw materials for the next two years, and that production has not stopped; the company is now developing lithium and solar battery lines.
