4,546 buyers from 30 provinces bought 1.078 million tonnes of cement on the commodity exchange in a week

According to figures from the Iran Mercantile Exchange, 4,546 buyers from 30 provinces sourced 1,078,033 tonnes of cement through the exchange in the week to 9 Mordad 1405 (31 July 2026). Cement was the highest volume product traded on the exchange's physical market that week.
Tehran province led the cement purchase volume table with 103,050 tonnes, followed by Isfahan with 81,015 tonnes and Markazi with 64,900 tonnes. The largest numbers of buyers were in West Azerbaijan with 464, Fars with 374 and Kermanshah with 327.
Selling cement through the commodity exchange has moved the product away from its traditional distribution mechanism and, according to the exchange's report, has increased transparency of access and competition in this market.
