More than one million tonnes of cement bought through the Iran Mercantile Exchange in the week to 9 Mordad

According to figures published from trading on the Iran Mercantile Exchange, 4,546 buyers from 30 provinces sourced a combined 1,078,033 tonnes of cement through the exchange in the week ending 9 Mordad 1405 (31 July 2026).
By purchase volume, Tehran province led with 103,050 tonnes, followed by Isfahan province with 81,015 tonnes and Markazi province with 64,900 tonnes.
By number of customers, West Azerbaijan province had the most buyers at 464, followed by Fars province with 374 and Kermanshah province with 327. Trading cement on the mercantile exchange has shifted distribution of the product from direct sales by plants to transactions in a centralised and more transparent market.
