668 Million Liters of Gasoline Consumed in 5 Days; Daily Average Tops 133 Million Liters

According to official data from Iran's Ministry of Petroleum published by Bourse News, the country consumed a combined 668 million liters of gasoline over the five days of 12 to 16 Mordad 1405 (August 3 to 7, 2026). Per figures from the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, the highest daily consumption was recorded on 12 Mordad at 140.7 million liters and the lowest on 16 Mordad at 122.3 million liters. Average daily consumption over the period topped 133 million liters.
Per the company's official data, gasoline consumption has grown by an average of about 5 percent a year since the start of the revolution through 1402 (2023/24), and by 10 percent over the past four years alone. Forecasts show that if the current trend continues, daily gasoline consumption will reach 170 million liters by 1407 (2028/29), with the resulting supply gap costing more than 16 billion dollars a year in foreign currency by then.
