Altcoins Outpace Bitcoin Over the Past Week as Bitcoin's Market Share Slips to 56.5 Percent

According to ArzDigital, in a report published on Friday, 3 Mehr 1405 (September 25, 2026), several large altcoins posted double digit gains over the past week, while Bitcoin's share of total crypto market value (dominance) fell about 2 percentage points to 56.5 percent. The report highlighted gains in Ethena, NEAR Protocol, Ondo, Sui, Bitcoin Cash and Avalanche, and said XRP, Chainlink and Cardano each rose about 17 to 18 percent.
CoinGecko data as of 8:00 a.m. Tehran time on Saturday, 4 Mehr 1405 (September 26, 2026), confirms the same trend: seven day returns were about 55 percent for Ethena, 41 percent for Sui, 32 percent for Ondo, 31 percent for Bitcoin Cash, 28 percent for NEAR and 24 percent for Avalanche, while Bitcoin gained about 3.3 percent over the same window and traded near $83,900. ArzDigital reported that NEAR broke above $5 after NYSE Arca approved Bitwise's NEAR exchange traded fund (ETF).
