Altcoin Share of Binance Trading Volume Hits Two Year High

Altcoins' share of trading volume on the Binance exchange has climbed to its highest level in two years amid the recent crypto market rally. According to Arzdigital, published Wednesday, 4 Shahrivar 1405 (August 26, 2026), CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost said altcoins accounted for 65 percent of total Binance trading volume at the peak of the move, compared with 21 percent for Bitcoin and 13.6 percent for Ether. Total altcoin market value excluding Ether rose by about $135 billion over the same period.

The report also cited the Altcoin Impulse index from the platform Altcoin Vector, which reached 93 percent, indicating the rally has spread across a large share of the altcoin market. However, the platform noted readings above 75 percent typically signal an overextended move and raise the likelihood of a pause or price correction.
