The daily Donya-e-Eqtesad reported on Saturday 1 August 2026 that apartment prices in Tehran's districts 6 and 7, known as the administrative heart of the capital, have reached a level where buying a mid sized unit in the area requires a budget of about 27 billion tomans.
According to data from the paper's Taraz survey, compiled from sale listings on online property platforms, the average price of units built within the past 10 years in these two districts has reached 307 million tomans per square meter, slightly above mid range residential districts of Tehran.
The report cites experts who point to the heavy presence of office use and demand for business premises in the two districts as one of the main reasons for the price gap with other residential areas of the capital.
