Bank Maskan Stops Issuing Coded Cheques From 7 Mehr

According to Mehr News Agency, Bank Maskan said that from Tuesday, 29 September 2026 (7 Mehr 1405), its branches will stop issuing coded (ramzdar) cheques and will replace them with guaranteed Sayad bank cheques. The bank said the change is intended to improve the security of financial transactions and coincides with the rollout of a new version of Chakavak, the interbank cheque clearing system.

Coded cheques are a common payment instrument in large transactions such as property and car purchases, and Bank Maskan customers who need one will have to use a guaranteed Sayad cheque from that date.
