Banks, Base Metals and Pharmaceuticals Led Tehran Exchange Trading Last Week as Active Shareholders Topped 781,000

A statistical report from the Securities and Exchange Organization's exchange oversight department, published Saturday, 7 Shahrivar 1405 (August 29, 2026) by Ecoiran citing the Securities and Exchange News Agency (SENA), shows that in the trading week ending Wednesday, 4 Shahrivar, the number of active shareholders in Iran's stock market, individual and institutional combined and excluding codes traded only in IPOs, reached 781,094: 778,862 individual and 2,232 institutional. Over the same week, individual investors, institutions and equity funds accounted for 69.6 percent (1,938,762 billion rials), 13 percent (362,290 billion rials) and 6.6 percent (183,689 billion rials) of total trading value, respectively. Pharmaceutical products, base metals and banks were the week's three most actively traded industries, together accounting for 35 percent of the market's total trading value.
