The cryptocurrency market rose on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Bitcoin opened Wednesday's trading at about $64,975, roughly 4.4% above Tuesday's open, and traded near $64,622 as of 8:07 a.m. US Eastern time. Ethereum also opened the day near $1,890, about 6.6% higher.
According to Yahoo Finance, the main driver was Tuesday's softer-than-expected US inflation report, which showed the largest monthly decline in consumer prices since April 2020. A Japan bitcoin ETF bill clearing a committee in the country's Upper House also supported sentiment. Total crypto market capitalization rose about 3.2% over 24 hours to roughly $2.3 trillion.
