Bitcoin holds above $65,000 with a 1.6 percent gain on Monday as Ethereum rises 4.3 percent

Bitcoin opened Monday, 27 July 2026, at 65,333.12 dollars, 1.6 percent above Sunday's opening price. At 7 a.m. US Eastern time the cryptocurrency was quoted at 65,358.92 dollars, some 901.27 dollars higher than the previous morning. At that level bitcoin's market capitalisation is about 1.33 trillion dollars.
Ethereum opened Monday at 1,953.02 dollars, 4.3 percent above Sunday's opening price, with a market capitalisation estimated at around 233 billion dollars. Despite the gains of the past two days, bitcoin is still trading roughly 54,090 dollars below where it stood a year earlier.
